My first introduction into jets, and what a model to begin with. I call my Elan Mr. Reliable. Four wing bolts, two wing connections, 3 battery connections, fill with fuel and it's ready to fly. Excellent first model with point and shoot precision. Take offs are gentle and smooth, landings are done at a walking pace with full flap deployed, and the long booms also help!   

The following items were used in the build for this jet;
Intairco - UAT, festo fittings, festo fuel tube, fuel fittings, retracts
JPA - Jets Munt 100xbl Turbine, Intairco fuel tank (made to suit the Elan)
Model Flight - Dualsky Servos DS589
Perth RC - Futaba receiver - R7014SB

Boomerang RC Jets
The Boomerang Elan is an attractive and capable sport jet. The large control surfaces give superb aerobatic performance yet the low wing loading means the Elan excels at low speeds too. Deploy the large flaps and the Elan slows down dramatically making it ideal for use off grass fields. The fuselage is fibreglass and the booms, wings and tailplanes are built from balsa/ply. The Elan fits a 60-100N turbine and access to the electronics and tank is easily through the large hatch in the top of the fuselage. The Elan is perfect for a newcomer to jets or a seasoned pilot looking for an 'all around' sports model.
